Improvements
Our thoughts for improvements are:
- Collect quality Portfolio Accounting examples of units in the pilot so it could be used to help both academic staff and students in future portfolio implementation.
- Involve the whole of unit team early in the process in designing and implementing the portfolio assessment so they are able to provide feedback, and early opportunities for establishing engagement amongst them.
- Potentially involve students in the design of the portfolio assessment task and marking rubric so that learning standards explicitly outline the criteria to students.
- Establish a Portfolio Interest Group for the Discipline for sharing practices and collegial support.
